MULTISPORT IN THE ANDES: 5D-4N
(River Rafting, Inca Trail, Hiking & Arqueology)

An ideal manner to see and experience moderate adventures in the Andes along with cultural and ecological activities such as observation of flora and fauna and visit of some of the local villages

We pick you up at the airport and later visit and hike a wee bit in two Inca Archaeological sites: Pisac - also visiting the traditional Pisac market- and Ollantaytambo. We then visit an Alpaca and Llama breeding and fiber producing farm and witness aspects of the weaving process..... ,inka trail,inca trail hiking,cusco,machu picchu,machu picchu trips,travel peru machu picchu Day one: Sacred Valley
We will pick you up in Cusco city and then we will drive north east for about one hour to visit   an Alpaca and We pick you up at the airport and later visit and hike a wee bit in two Inca Archaeological sites: Pisac - also visiting the traditional Pisac market- and Ollantaytambo. We then visit an Alpaca and Llama breeding and fiber producing farm and witness aspects of the weaving process..... ,inka trail,inca trail hiking,cusco,machu picchu,machu picchu trips,travel peru machu picchuLlama farm and fiber producing and witness aspects of the weaving process in a small village of Chinchero. Later we will continue to see some Inca remains and hike and tour for two hours in the Inca We pick you up at the airport and later visit and hike a wee bit in two Inca Archaeological sites: Pisac - also visiting the traditional Pisac market- and Ollantaytambo. In the afternoon we will hike and tour the outpost of the Incas called Pisac for 2 hours. There will be a good chance to see some of the flora and fauna of the Andean scrub bush vegetation. Today, after a good breakfast, we drive for about an hour and a half to the beginning or put-in point of our experience in white water rafting. The level is easy to-difficult and good for beginners or those withWe pick you up at the airport and later visit and hike a wee bit in two Inca Archaeological sites: Pisac - also visiting the traditional Pisac market- and Ollantaytambo. After reviewing the safety instructions briefing and getting all the equipment ready, we go into sections of the river with class III and easy class IV rapids flowing downstream for two to three hours(about 18kilometers) with the incredible view of the Vilcanota mountain range. After changing into clothes; we lunch and then return to the sacred valley and stay in the bed and breakfast inn in Ollantaytambo near the ruins. We cover a distance of 18 kilometers. Optional visit to a pottery workshop and kiln.Hotel (B, L)

We board the morning train at the Ollantaytambo station at 8:10 am and ride for about one hour until we approach the kilometer 104 marker of the train line. Here begins the Inca trail. A two and a half hour hike brings us to the archaeological site of Wiñay Huayna..... ,cusco,machu picchu,machu picchu trips,travel peru machu picchu,machu pichu,cuzco Day three: Inca trail
We board the morning train at the Ollantaytambo station  and ride for about one hour until we approach the kilometer 104 marker of the train line. Here begins the Inca trail at Chachabamba (2100mts) A two and a half hour hike brings us to the archaeological site of Wiñay Huayna(2920mts,“forever young” in the native Quechua language). Here we partake of well-earned lunch and We pick you up at the airport and later visit and hike a wee bit in two Inca Archaeological sites: Pisac - also visiting the traditional Pisac market- and Ollantaytambo. We then visit an Alpaca and Llama breeding and fiber producing farm and witness aspects of the weaving process..... ,inka trail,inca trail hiking,cusco,machu picchu,machu picchu trips,travel peru machu picchusnacks. Following a visit of this beautiful site, we go on two hours more beautiful pave trail to the Sun gate, where we will have our first view of Machu Picchu from this point. We devote some time to hear a small introductory briefing about this great Inca site. A little later we hike down to the look out point where we will enjoy great views of the site then we take the bus down to the town of Aguas Calientes for either a bath in the local hot springs or good shower. We cover 8 kilometers. At night dinner and overnight in hotel. (B, L,)

Day four: Machu Picchu
Following an early breakfast we take the bus up to the ancient city of Machu Picchu  for a thoroughly grand tour. Afterwards; we have the choice to either relax or hike up one of the surrounding mountains such as Machu Picchu Mountain or Huayna Picchu(about two hours hike) We have our lunch and visit the market in Aguas Calientes before taking the train to the city of Cusco.Hotel (B, L)

On this day we go on a tour of Cusco and all the great archaeological sites. The tour lasts for half of the day. Then we have a delicious lunch and you have time off to go shopping in Cusco with your guide,. The afternoon is free. Dinner that night in a local restaurant, much life and music..... ,machu pichu,cuzco,cusco,machu picchu,inca trail peru,machu picchu tours Day number five: Cusco archaeology
On this day we hike on a tour of Cusco and all the great archaeological sites near the city. The tour lasts for half of the day. Then we have a delicious lunch and you have time off to go and explore Cusco city.Hotel (B, L)

Day number SIX:
We drive to the airport to board the Cusco-Lima flight and your connections.

    What to bring
    This is a list designed to advise you what equipment is appropriate to bring according to the weather conditions predominating at the time of your trip:

  • Flashlights (at least one headlamp among them).
  • Sun Block; Insect Repellent.
  • Towels (Small; cotton and hygienic).
  • Rain Gear (Pants and Jacket) though not necessary during the months of July and August.
  • A couple of pairs of socks, perhaps even an extra pair.
  • One pair of trousers for the evening plus two more pairs for trail use (zipp-offs).
  • Sandals for River use (Teva types).
  • Low ankle height hiking shoes or regular hiking boots (check the season).
  • Reading material.
  • Binoculars (always useful regardless of season and activity).
  • Bathing Suit.
  • Water Bottle (I liter capacity).
  • Good Sun glasses, perhaps two sets.
  • A bandana for neck protection.
  • A couple of sets of underwear (perhaps an extra pair).
  • Camera and plenty of film.
  • Passport (plus a couple of Xerox copies).
  • At least one short sleeve shirt and one or two long sleeve shirts (dark colors, depending on the place and destiny chosen).
  • And your regular medium to high altitude outer trekking clothes (Anorak-Wind Breaker, Pile or Down Jacket, Wool Hat, Gloves).
