This day we will pick you up at the airport and then we will take you to your hotel for a good rest and have some coca tea for acclimatization. After a light lunch we begin with We drive north out of Cusco and bike an easy to moderate trail. We also stop to visit an archaeological site. We are going to hike and explore several arqueological sites dated from the Inca times. We will visit the temple of the Sun (Koricancacha) and then we will have a short hike to Saqsayhuaman (religious fortress) Later we will continue to visit other Huacas or religious retreats for the rest of the afternoon. We cover 8 kilometers. Hotel (L) good day to acclimate.

This day after a good rest, we will go first to see an Alpaca and llama farm and also see some of the weaving carding workshop. Then after the visit we will go to the arqueological We drive north out of Cusco and bike an easy to moderate trail. We also stop to visit an archaeological site. After lunch we continue biking to sacred valley..... ,cusco,machu picchu,machu picchu trips,travel peru machu picchu,peru machu picchu,sacred valleysite of Pisac(one of the Incan outpost) in order to hike and explore the ruins for 3 hours hiking through the original Inca path. After we will arrive to the town of Pisac for Lunch. After we will drive for one hour through different valleys to the arqueological site of Ollantaytambo (fortress, religious retreat) where we will hike for two hours and explore the site. We cover 8 kilometers. After we will go to our hotel near the arqueological site. Hotel (B; L, D),

We begin our journey in Cusco, the capital of the Inca Empire. From here we drive southeast for about one hour where we will begin our hike. We begin hiking in the town We drive north out of Cusco and bike an easy to moderate trail. We also stop to visit an archaeological site. After lunch we continue biking to sacred valley..... ,cusco,machu picchu,machu picchu trips,travel peru machu picchu,peru machu picchu,sacred valleyof Huaran (alt. 9000 ft).From this point we will begin hiking following the Cancha Cancha River and passing a succession of small inter-Andean valleys for the first four hours with a good chance to see some of the flora and fauna of the Andean semidry forest or scrub bush This is the day when we exercise our upper body. We go rafting in the Vilcanota River and run class III and class IV white water..... ,machu pichu,cuzco,cusco,machu picchu,machu picchu tripsvegetation. We will arrive at the village of Cancha Cancha where we stopfor lunch. We then continue hiking for about two hours to our camp (11800fts) just below Pachacutec pass (14400fts). We will see here another ecosystem called the Andean semidry forest or scrub bush vegetation with some opportunities to see some of the flora and fauna of this ecosystem. Also we will cover 10 kilometers. Camping (B, L, D)

Day four: Trekking
After a good breakfast, we continue ascending to the Pachacutec pass (alt. 14400 ft) for about two hours. From the top, an incredible view of the Vilcanota mountain range with the snow-capped peak of Pitusiray (alt.18800 ft) in close proximity and Lake Pachacutec close by. We descend the opposite slope of the pass traversing different small valleys with some vies of glacier lakes and small creeks and some water falls. We will eat lunch close to a spectacular view of the mountains. Then, we continue going down through a variety of valleys for about four hours, reaching the village of Quisuarani (alt. 12300 ft). After visiting this Andean community and getting together with some of our native Quechua people we find our transportation to our next camp near the place where we will begin our rafting trip. We cover 8 kilometers. Camping (B, L, D)

Today we start out driving up to the mountains from where we will begin our descent to the valley of Calca. After lunch in the town of Pisac, we visit this amazing Inca outpost in the mountains where we hike for 2 hours. This day, after a good breakfast, we will have a short drive to the put in point of the river to enjoy some easy class III and rapids on the Vilcanota River (one of the main sources Today we start out driving up to the mountains from where we will begin our descent to the valley of Calca. After getting ready all the equipment and safety talk we will begin running the river for about 2 hours. Afterwards, a change into dry clothing and a picnic lunch. Then we will go the the Pomacanchis lake in order to begin this amazing ride with our bikes around the lake for two hours. Then we return to our camp close to the River. We cover a distance of 18 kilometers. Camping (B, L, D)

Today we start out driving up to the mountains from where we will begin our descent to the valley of Calca. After lunch in the town of Pisac, we visit this amazing Inca outpost in the mountains where we hike for 2 hours. This day we prepare our self for the second section of the river. We will drive for 30 minutes to beginning of our section. Today we start out driving up to the mountains from where we will begin our descent to the valley of Calca. After lunch in the town of Pisac, we visit this amazing Inca outpost in the mountains where we hike for 2 hours. On the way back to Cusco we visit an Alpaca and Llama breeding and fiber producing farm and witness aspects of the weaving process..... ,peru machu picchu,sacred valley,cuzco machu picchu,inca trail,cusco peru tour,machu pichu,cuzco,cuscoAfter getting ready all the equipment and the river gear we will prepare our self to run the canyon of Chuquicahuana.In this canyon we will find good class III and class IV rapids for about two hours. At the end we will have our picnic lunch and then we will drive back to Pisac. We cover a distance of 18 kilometers. Hotel, (B, L)

Transfer to airport for flight to Lima and connections to international flights..... ,machu pichu,cuzco,cusco,machu picchu,machu picchu trips,travel peru machu picchu Day seven: Biking
After a good breakfast we will drive to the beginning of our trail for mountain bike easy to moderate. After getting ready all the equipment and our bike .we will begin this incredible descend (about 25 kilometers) trough different Interandean valleys for 3 hours until we reach the hot springs where we will stop. After the bath we will have lunch. After we will continue for one hour to the town of Calca where we will finish. After we will drive to the town of Ollantaytambowhere we will stay in our bed and breakfast and relax in town at night. (B, L, D)Hotel.

Day EIGHT: Archaeology, trekking
We board the morning train to Machu Picchu. Once arrived at the town of Aguas Calientes, we go to the hotel and -after leaving our bags there- go up to Machu Picchu by Bus. There we embark on a two hour tour. Once over we have time to hike on the original Inca trail and to relax in the site. We cover 8 kilometers. Later we return to the hotel for some rest and optional hot springs (B, D)

We have the choice of going back up for sunrise (depending the weather) to Machu Picchu.After we can  hike one of the mountains around like Huyana picchu or Machu picchu(about 2 hours hike),or relax and take pictures and meditate. After late lunch in town, we take the train back to Cusco Hotel. (B, L). We cover 8 kilometers.

Day TEN:
Transfer to airport for domestic flight to Lima and flight connections

    What to bring
    This is a list designed to advise you what equipment is appropriate to bring according to the weather conditions predominating at the time of your trip:

  • Flashlights (at least one headlamp among them).
  • Sun Block; Insect Repellent.
  • Towels (Small; cotton and hygienic).
  • Rain Gear (Pants and Jacket) though not necessary during the months of July and August.
  • A couple of pairs of socks, perhaps even an extra pair.
  • One pair of trousers for the evening plus two more pairs for trail use (zipp-offs).
  • Sandals for River use (Teva types).
  • Low ankle height hiking shoes or regular hiking boots (check the season).
  • Reading material.
  • Binoculars (always useful regardless of season and activity).
  • Bathing Suit.
  • Water Bottle (I liter capacity).
  • Good Sun glasses, perhaps two sets.
  • A bandana for neck protection.
  • A couple of sets of underwear (perhaps an extra pair).
  • Camera and plenty of film.
  • Passport (plus a couple of Xerox copies).
  • At least one short sleeve shirt and one or two long sleeve shirts (dark colors, depending on the place and destiny chosen).
  • And your regular medium to high altitude outer trekking clothes (Anorak-Wind Breaker, Pile or Down Jacket, Wool Hat, Gloves)
